Why see a chiropractor?

People most commonly see a chiropractor for the following issues:

  • Back pain

  • Neck pain

  • Posture related issues

  • Shoulder pain

  • Sciatica

  • Headaches and migraines coming from the neck

  • Sports injuries

  • Pregnancy related musculo-skeletal pain

And many more...

What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a profession focused on the assessment and management of musculo-skeletal conditions, most commonly in the spine. Gentle low force techniques are used, and recommendations are given to ensure your individual issues are addressed.

Techniques your chiropractor might use are:

Spinal manipulation and mobilisation

Precise, gentle movement of the joints to restore how the spine moves. Sometimes associated with an audible release.

Soft tissue therapy and stretching

Hands-on work to release tight or strained muscles, allowing for improved flexibility and reduced pain.

Dry needling

Fine needles inserted into muscular trigger points to improve circulation and reduce muscle spasm.

Exercise and posture advice

Tailored advice depending on your lifestyle, which may include; desk ergonomics, rehab, and sleep.

How do I get started?

Your first visit, step by step

01

We talk...

We discuss what is going on, what your expectations and goals are and your health history.

02

We assess...

We assess your muscles, joints, nerves and posture to understand what the cause of your issues is.

03

We plan together...

Afterwards, we plan together, to help you reach your individual goals and feel better. If you are feeling ready to, we can then begin with some treatment, if it is safe and appropriate to do so.
